Cleaning: My Worst Enemy!

This week I realized that I HATE cleaning. I mean, I know it needs to be done, and I have my moments, but for the most part I just don't want to deal with it. And so began a list-making session :)

When I have a list to work off, I am more motivated to do things (weird, huh?!). So I started to compile a list of things to do weekly, twice a month, monthly, and quarterly. In the past 2 days I have done a TON more things that I've been "meaning" to clean for almost a year (aka deep clean the inside of the oven). It's crazy how much I feel like I've actually accomplished something and spreading things out over a week or month really help to keep things more reasonable. I don't know if this list will last forever, but it's going to help me at least for now. And more importantly, it will set me up to have a routine once David and I have a baby and things get really crazy.

Here's to learning how to enjoy cleaning a little more (we still won't be best friends, but at least we'll get along a little better)!

**If anyone would like to see my list breakdown, leave me a message with your email and I will forward it to you. Happy cleaning!

Oh Happy Day!

My birthday is always one of my absolute favorite days of the year. I love getting together with friends and family and celebrating the day I was born (I also love presents). This year was such a great time because it was a low-key time to visit with friends. We hadn't all been together for about a month and it was nice to reconnect. Here are a few pictures from that night :) Happy Birthday to me!
