Reminder to Self

This time of the year is one of my favorites. The atmosphere, decorations, and joy that seem to eminate from every person you interact with. I know I tend to get lost in the shopping, travel, and busyness, but this year I would like to remember the real reason for this time of the year: Jesus Christ. He was sent to this world as a tiny baby and born in the most lowly of places. God sent His son, His own flesh and blood, to the world to become the greatest sacrifice possible. This year, I want to remember what the true meaning and purpose of Christmas is: to honor and remember that God gave so much for me and I need to be joyful and remind myself how blessed I truly am.

Merry Christmas to each of you! Be joyful in the stress and remember there is peace to be found.

Love,
Jackie

A Day of Pumpkins

We spent Saturday with a group of friends picking the perfect pumpkins and carving them. It was a wonderful reminder of how blessed we are to have these crazy, wonderful people in our lives. Enjoy a snapshot of our day!

Wine Tasting In Santa Barbara

Here are some photos from our couples weekend away. It was a great time and I learned a lot about wines and what to look for/what I enjoy:

Our hotel (Parkside Inn)

David & I

All of us @ Presidio

Oops...

I know I said I was going to keep up on my blog, well that has failed miserably. I want to keep people up-to-date on David and my life, but it's so hard to stay motivated to come up with interesting and read-worthy things or not make people snore about how normal our lives are :)

I promise to try and keep this blog moving along with updates. I know I want to do this, it's just hard to not let it fall by the wayside like other things in my life. So stay tuned...there's more to come.
